Detail: Our Program was developed by the Moo Duk Kwan, the East's oldest, largest private, not-for-profit martial arts college (we are a branch of that college). The curriculum has been under development for over 60 years and stresses defense, not offense. You or your child will learn how to protect yourself appropriately in almost any situation. In addition, over time, our program has a pronounced and permanent effect on your mental well-being. A study done at Fordham University Department of Psychology showed that our students have 30% less anxiety and hostility than the general population (a very significant decrease) because they enjoy a much higher level of confidence, self-esteem and self-discipline. Our program stresses scholarship, leadership and a unique philosophy that improves success in family, school and work. Respect for elders and those weaker, attention to detail, honesty, courage, concentration and humility are very important to us. What we teach is not a sport and so competition is not an issue here. This is a school where you learn at your own pace. Our program will get you into great shape, tone your muscles, help you get to the right weight, reduce stress, improve your health (it actually enhances your immune system!) and teach you many ways to deal more successfully with others. You will use your mind, your body and your spirit. You will accomplish things you never thought possible. It is all true.
