Detail: The White Clay Soccer Club is a travel soccer program that provides an opportunity for qualified players to compete at a higher level of competition with players of similar abilities from other clubs in the region. Identification of these players is through a annual tryout process, and participation is a one-year commitment. Teams are formed by age groups and represent the White Clay Soccer Club in local leagues including the Delco Soccer League, and the Philadelphia Area Soccer League (for girls). League play takes place in the fall and spring, while some teams also choose to play in indoor leagues in the winter. White Clay teams are also encouraged to play in regional tournaments. White Clay Soccer Club, founded in 2004, draws youth participants from Southern Chester County in the Avon Grove, Oxford, and Kennett Square School Districts, as well as Northern Delaware and Northeastern Maryland. Players in our club come from Avondale, Landenberg, Kennett Square, Lincoln University, Oxford, West Grove, Hockessin, and Elkton. White Clay Soccer Club strives to field competitive boys and girls teams that travel throughout the region. Our mission is to develop each player individually while having everyone learn the value of teamwork and community.
