Detail: The primary purpose of the organization is to lend citizen support, encouragement and financial aid to the soccer programs in the City of Westbrook, which includes the players, coaches, referees, and other participants in the game of soccer. The purpose of the WSL In-house Leagues are to educate and instruct the youth (ages 5-14) of the Westbrook and surrounding areas on the importance of cooperation, sportsmanship, and physical exercise; to foster and promote an understanding and appreciation of the game of soccer: to operate and manage a youth soccer program in the Westbrook area; to provide educational and training programs for players, coaches, referees, and other participants in the game of soccer; with no records, scores, or standings to be kept by the league or the coaches of this organization. The purpose of the WSL Travel League is to promote a higher level of play. Teams are filled annually by tryouts to be judged by a means determined by the Board of Directors. The number of teams and age groups shall be decided by the BOD based on the number of participants.
