Detail: Swansea-Somerset Youth Soccer League (SSYSL) is a non-profit corporation, in the state of Massachusetts, that dedicated to promoting and enhancing the game of soccer in our community and to encourage the healthy development of our players. SSYSL is considered a recreation organization and we strive to develop the: i) recreational player who’s goal is to learn and enjoy the game with the main purpose being “to have funâ€. ii) travel team player who enjoys the spirit of competition and who’s goal is to improve and build on their skills, confidence, fitness, and a learn the meaning of teamwork. iii) we are support the development of our volunteer coaches by offering a reimbursement program for MYS’s Certified Coaching Courses (G-A). iv) we promote and encourage high standards of sportsmanship and fair play. Our recreational programs are open to everyone in the local community and not just to the residents of Swansea & Somerset. This includes our Fall Outdoor Recreational Program (mid Aug-mid Nov) and our Winter Indoor Instructional Program (Jan-March). Our travel programs are open to players who reside in Swansea, Somerset and Berkley. However, we also welcome players from towns in our surrounding community based on the rules of South Coast Soccer League. For additional information with regards to our soccer programs and coaching reimbursement policy, please visit our website at www.ssysl.net SSYSL is governed by Board of Directors. The Board is made of non paid volunteers who are elected to serve on a yearly basis. The yearly election is completed at the corporation’s annual meeting in December.
