Detail: Beginning in the 2010-2011 playing season, SVU will play under the umbrella of COSC as a satellite club, officially taking on the name Odyssey South and adopting the Odyssey crest. Odyssey South will also gain recognition as a Nike Premier Club and become a portal to the National Development Academy. Under it's original club name, South Valley United Soccer Club (SVU) was established in 2003 with the intent of providing a means for quality competitive youth soccer within the Central San Joaquin Valley. In 2010 we continue this tradition under our new name California Odyssey South as a result of a strategic partnership with Clovis California's, California Odyssey Soccer Club (COSC). We believe in developing advanced soccer skills and knowledge of the game through a variety of avenues, including specialized training along with league and competitive tournament play. Though winning is important, we believe that by developing young players physically, mentally, and socially, it will in turn lead to more successful players over the long term.
