Detail: Reading United Soccer was incorporated in 1979 as the Quannapowitt United Soccer Club. In 1984 the name was changed to Reading United Soccer Club. The objective of the RUSC is to develop and promote a vital and exciting soccer program within the town of Reading, MA. This is accomplished through programs designed to educate players and parents about the sport of soccer and develop public awareness. The club is run by a dedicated group of volunteers and relies on the support and participation of Reading residents for the successful implementation if its many programs. To build a soccer program that provides: An equal opportunity for all players to develop skills to whatever level they are capable and willing; A forum for the development of good teamwork and sportsmanship; An environment for coaches to develop skills and techniques needed to teach the game of soccer; An environment for referees to develop skills and techniques needed to referee the game of soccer
