Detail: Meridian Police Activities League, Inc. (Meridian PAL) is a chartered member of the National Police Activities League. National PAL began in 1913 in New York City at a single police precinct. Today there are more than 400 individual chapters across the nation. Meridian PAL became a charter member of National PAL in 1996 starting with a youth recreational soccer program. Today, MPAL serves the Meridian and surrounding communities and its 6,000 youth participants with a variety of programs. Sports programs offered include baseball, 3 on 3 basketball, flag and tackle football, recreational, select and competitive club soccer, as well affiliate program karate. Meridian PAL is driven by more than 1,000 volunteers and a small office staff to provide respected youth sports programs. Meridian PAL Recreational Soccer began in 1996 with 200 players and a handful of teams. Today, the program offers both fall and spring seasons with more 1500 players per season. The Recreational program offers play beginning at age 3 in our Tots program as well as age divisions through high school. Meridian PAL Select Soccer is targeted for more experienced players who are looking for more competitive play. Players in the Select program are led by the Select Director of Coaching and our professional training team. Currently, MPAL Select teams play within our own internal league, allowing MPAL to provide the highest quality playing experience for your youth. All games are played at Heroes Park.
