Detail: The purposes for which LYNBROOK-EAST ROCKAWAY SOCCER CLUB is formed are: To organize, establish, create and maintain a soccer club in the Lynbrook and East Rockaway communities; to promote, foster and advance in every lawful manner, the common interests and goals of those engaged in soccer and athletic activities of every kind; to affiliate such club with other similarly constituted clubs, teams, leagues, associations and organizations; to foster and promote interest in soccer and other lawful sports; to promote and provide social and athletic recreation for its members: to encourage and engage in organized play and competition with other soccer teams clubs, leagues, associations and organizations; to purchase, lease, acquire, own, control, operate and maintain soccer equipment and gear; to develop those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play, fairness and selfreliance which are the essentials of good sportsmanship; to promote, foster and encourage interest in athletics and physical exercise and generally to endeavor to improve the health and welfare of the members of this Corporation through the sport of soccer.
