Detail: The Johnsburg White Lightning Soccer Club supports the town of Johnsburg Illinois and it surrounding communities in giving kids the opportunity to learn and love the game of soccer. Our Mission Statement: To consistently offer an excellent soccer program with superior training and coaching for all ages and abilities, fostered by community involvement and support. The club was established in 1984 has been giving kids the opportunity to play soccer and our focus is on continuous improvement, physical fitness, and developing a love for the game. The club philosophy is to develop skills first and then compete second. JWL partnered with Three Lions International in 2004 to train and develop our participants and take them to the next level. The club offers both recreational and competitive soccer. The teams start at ages 5-6 and goes up through 23 years. On the competitive side the boys compete in the YSSL(Young Sportsman Soccer League) and the girls participate in the IWSL(Illinois Women’s Soccer League). The club plays in both the fall and the spring with tryouts in June for the upcoming year.
