Detail: The Gilbert Soccer Club (GSC) was created in 1992 as an offshoot of the Gilbert Youth Soccer Association (GYSA). GYSA recognized the need in the community to create a place where the highly advanced players could develop and test their skills against the best players throughout Arizona. It was slow going in the first few years, but in the last four years the club has grown to over 40 competitive teams with almost 700 players. Most of these players go on to play for the local high schools and many will then continue on to play in college.
