Detail: Boston Azzurri has chosen to take the a different approach in developing strong teams. Instead of recruiting club players from other clubs at tryout times, we have chosen to develop strong players and remain committed to those players. We believe that over time strong teams will evolve from our dedication to our players and from our players dedication to our system. It is our belief that by choosing a club that provides technical training focused on the individual player, that players will develop to their highest potential. We feel regimented technical training is more important than placement in a league. Regimented, individual foot skill and balance training is often overlooked in the U.S. and becomes difficult to learn after the age of twelve. This is due to the development of poor habits and incorrect muscle memory taught at training sessions without a technical focus. We are often approached by strong athletes, playing at the highest levels, who struggle to progress, due to the lack of consistent technical training, exasperated by the constant shuffling of players between clubs at tryout time
