Detail: The Carrera Soccer Club was conceived in 1993 and began officially in the 1994-1995 season with a single Under-13 team. The goal of the founding members was to create an organization totally committed to girls competitive soccer in Central Missouri. In Februrary, 1996, Carrera Soccer Club became the first all-girls soccer club in the Central District of the Missouri Youth Soccer Association (MYSA). The Carrera Soccer Club continues to grow.....from 7 teams in the 2001-2002 Season, to 12 teams (U10-U18) for the 2006-2007 campaign. WELCOME TO THE CARRERA SOCCER CLUB! The season starts off with Carrera tryouts in June and then a Skills Camp in July which sets the tone for all the new players and returning players U10 through U14. The Carrera Soccer Club has some wonderful sponsors who have made a major committment to Carrera Soccer and the Central Missouri Community. Carrera has wonderful partnerships with Peak Performance and MediaCom. Our uniforms proudly display their logos! 1999 saw continued growth for girls soccer in Central Missouri. The partnership of Carrera with the WINGS girls program continued. Carrera now has 6 teams, with 5 teams competing in the St. Louis Youth Soccer Association (SLYSA). 50 Carrera players competed in the 1999 WINGS St. Louis Friendship Cup Tournament: 2 full teams (U17 and U14) and the remainder were combined with WINGS players to create tournament teams. The Tournament field included Michigan Hawks, Omaha Gladiators, Busch, Carrera/WINGS. United Quest(Atlanta) and Memphis Fury. 1998 was an important year for the club. The Under 17 Team finished 2nd in the Snickers State Cup Competition. In addition, The Under 17 team competed in the prestigious WINGS St. Louis Friendship Cup. Our opponents included 3 state champions. The Tournament field included Colorado Rush, Michigan Hawks, Omaha Gladiators, Quad City Strikers, Busch, WINGS and Memphis Fury.
