Introduction:	In December 2009, a group of concerned citizens of the Cairo/Grady community opened the doors of the first Boys & Girls Club in Cairo, Georgia. Then, the need was great as more and more of our young people were falling victim to negative influences including juvenile crime, teen pregnancy and not completing their high school education. Today, the Jackie Robinson Boys & Girls Club of Cairo-Grady County, located at 101 6th Avenue SW, serves as a beacon of hope for nearly 234 youth served annually. Over 95 youth, ages 6-16 participate daily in programs and activities designed to increase academic performance in school, build character, and teach critical decision making skills. We know first-hand that the Boys & Girls Club is making a difference in the Cairo-Grady County community and in the lives of our children. We also know that keeping a Boys & Girls Club facility open is vital to the continued decrease in juvenile crime, teen pregnancies and increases in the high school graduation rate requires ongoing support from the entire community. Your charitable contribution will support the many valuable programs and services we provide to youth in Cairo-Grady County.
