Introduction:
Our programs, services, and initiatives enable kids to realize their potential, prepare teens for success, offer ways for families to have fun together, empower people to be healthier in spirit, mind and body, welcome and embrace newcomers, and help foster a nationwide service ethic. And that's just the beginning. We believe the values and skills learned early in life are vital building blocks for future success. At the Y children learn new skills and how to be their best! The values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for life. At the Y, children and teens learn values and positive behaviors, and can explore their unique talents and interests, helping them realize their potential. Having guidance and support can make a real difference in helping youth figure out who they are and what they can achieve. We are committed to nurturing them and encouraging their success. The Y is often the starting point for youth becoming active – but the benefits are greater than just physical health. Youth make friends, build skills, develop interests, and gain confidence. Camping, like many Y programs, is about learning skills, developing character, and making friends. But few environments are as special as camp!
