Introduction:
The Bright Futures Program is super excited about entering its second year at Erickson Elementary. The aim of our program is to create a space that is safe and engaging in which students have an active voice. Bright Futures meets Monday through Thursday, from 3:25pm to 6:30pm. The purpose of our program is to help our students succeed in and out of school. Our goal is to support academic growth and community ties through teaching students leadership and grit. The Bright Futures Program is offering a wide variety of after school activities that are available to students. The program will have a regular schedule that will focus on physical and mental activities like yoga, arts and crafts, currents events, and creative writing. The Bright Futures Program recognizes the important role parents play in their child’s education. The Parent Advisory Board is a great opportunity for any parent to get involved in the program. The Parent Advisory Board will plan activities for students. There will be parent nights and performances from students throughout the year. Lastly, there is a 6-week summer program that runs from mid-June until late July.
