Introduction:
The Hawthorn Afterschool Program (HAP) is for students in grades kindergarten through 6th grade attending Hawthorn School District 73. Both before and after school care is available at Hawthorn Elementary North and South schools. The HAP Program is designed to provide positive activities for elementary students within a safe, secure, and enriching environment. Under the supervision of our trained and qualified leadership staff, your child will have the opportunity to engage in education and recreation activities geared to the interest of the participants. All activities are designed to foster teamwork, health and wellness, positive attitudes, and self-esteem. Students in 6th grade are responsible for walking themselves to their designated school site. A waiver will be issued to parents of 6th grade students.
