Detail: The Batesville School District has been designated as a School of the 21st Century through the Yale University Bush Center for Child Development. We realize that there has been a transformation of family life resulting in an unprecedented demand for child care in America. As the number of children spending more time in out-of-home care rises, the need for quality child care services becomes increasingly important. The Batesville Preschool is a fully licensed facility and has received a State Quality Approval accreditation for several years. This means that we have exceeded the Minimum Licensing Requirements for child care centers that are mandated by the State Licensing entity. Batesville Preschool was also the 1999 National Award Winner for Exemplary Program in Early Childhood Intervention.
