Detail: Richey Elementary opened in 1951 and has been remodeled several times. Most recently, an educational wing was built to accommodate our growing population. Our school has a diverse group of students including 4 percent white, less than one percent Asian, less than one percent black, less than one percent Native American, and 95% percent Hispanic. We have a variety of programs to meet the needs of each child. They include content mastery, resource and gifted and talented programs, general music program, physical education and LRC reading/technology program.
