Detail: Plain City Elementary, the largest and newestÿbuilding in the district withÿover 600 students andÿis located in theÿSouthernÿedgeÿof the village of Plain City. We serve preschool through fourth grade with special programs for the learning disabled and gifted students. At Plain City Elementary, we pride ourselves in being a "high touch, high tech, high performance" school. Our staff members place the safety and well-being of our students as their number one goal. We place a heavy emphasis on math, reading and writing, and there are new computers in most every classroom as well as a 30 station Tech Lab. In addition, the students take classes in music, mmer for those students who enjoy hands-on science. Students enjoy field trips each year and educational assemblies are provided throughout the year. All of the students take part in service projects to help our neighbors and friends in other parts of the world. We also strive to teach our young learners the value of money and how to manage it- a skill that will be used throughout life. We are in our eighth year of providing a theater program for our students, co-directed by Mrs. Dietry, Mrs. Geyer, and Mrs. Mitchell.
