Detail: All Norwich Family YMCA childcare programs provide a safe and caring environment for your child to enjoy a variety of activities throughout the year. YMCA programs offer daily activities that include arts and crafts projects, computer time, cooking projects, gym time, swimming, games, playtime in our Kids' Gym, snack and occasional field trips. Our activities are designed to reinforce the YMCA character development program which helps children develop four basic values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Team building, cooperation, self-esteem and achieving personal goals are also emphasized. Norwich Family YMCA Child Care Staff members are chosen for their caring and energetic personalities and experience working with children. All staff members receive extensive training in accordance with New York State and YMCA operating standards in order to assure that all children will be kept safe and healthy while in our care.
