Detail: In partnership with PS 18 and PS 277 in the Bronx, East Side House, Inc. operates two school-based afterschool programs. These programs include: homework help, project-based learning opportunties with a special focus on literacy, character education, violence prevention, academic enrichment, recreational activities and a family educational program. The program occurs at both schools for 3 hours each day Monday through Friday. Because in NYS all afterschool programs must be licensed by the Dept. of Health, we had to obtain our licenses prior to opening. Both programs began on 10.27.08.
