Detail: The Redmond / Sammamish Boys & Girls Club Child Care programs are designed to meet the needs of the working parent(s), while addressing the special interests and concerns of their children. Our daily activities include sports, games, arts and crafts, reading, leisure time, movies, and special events. We are here to provide children in grades K through 6 with planned activities that promote opportunities for friendship, self-development, self-esteem, values, self-discipline, and respect for others through positive habits, behaviors, and choices. Available programs include before school and after school. We are located onsite of Blackwell, Cottage Lake, Dickinson, McAuliffe, Mead, Redmond, Rosa Parks, and Smith Elementary schools. We believe that children learn best in an environment that is supportive, fun and safe. Our staff encourages self-expression and active participation which furthers the learning process and promotes growth and self-esteem, by teaching healthy values and life skills. Our child care centers are staffed at an approximate ratio of one adult to every ten children. Dedicated to improving the quality of life for young people, our personnel have backgrounds in early childhood development, education, recreation, and other child related areas. In addition, personnel are provided with ongoing in-service training and supervision.
