Detail: Culpeper County Child Care was founded in 1990 as the result of a task force evaluating child care and a grant awarded to Culpeper Social Services to meet child care needs in the County. The grant funded the establishment of an afterschool program at Farmington Elementary School for kindergarteners through third graders as participants. On November 13, 1990, the Culpeper County Board of Supervisors and School Board approved a county-wide afterschool program and over the remaining school year (1990-1991), the program was phased in at all elementary school locations. A before-school program began during the 1991-1992 school year. We are dedicated to providing quality care that meets individual needs of children by planning environments and activities that considers the social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of each developmental stage; please take an opportunity to see more about our program by taking a look at our regular newsletter and current program menu.
