Detail: The Altavista Area YMCA offers child care for children 16 months through seventh grade. Toddler and pre-school child care are housed at the Family Center as well as the school aged programs for Altavista and Hurt elementary schools. Other school aged before and after school programs as well as summer camps are located at Tomahawk, Leesville Road, Yellow Branch, Concord, Rustburg and Gretna elementary schools.
