Detail: The Fremont/Newark YMCA opened its doors in 1972 dedicated to serving the tri-city communities of Fremont Newark and Union City. Then we offered primarily childcare and youth programs. In 2004 as the growing need for healthy lifestyles became more apparent we expanded our health and fitness programming by opening a 2400 square-foot fitness facility.
