Details:	For more than ten years, Des Moines Mixed Martial Arts Academy has been offering instruction and training in martial arts and wrestling led by master instructor Anthony Porcelli of Bay Shore New York. Not only is Des Moines MMA Academy a contact-combat sports club, it also offers youth programs and fitness classes for all ages and abilities. Choose from a variety of beginner and advanced level classes: Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu, Kickboxing, Sparring, Cardio Bootcamps, Body Shaping, MMA/Wrestling, Mat Grappling and much more! Now let us continue with a little history of how Des Moines Mixed Martial Arts Academy came to be. At age five, Anthony's journey began in wrestling at Bay Shore Kid Wrestling taught by Hall of Fame coaches Bill Knapp, Jumper Leggio and Ed Hubbard. As a 2-time Junior Finalist at San Diego City College, he continued wrestling for Iowa State and competed for the NYAC Wrestling Club. As a MMA veteran, Anthony boasts a 12-0 bout record as a 13-time Veteran Nationals champion in submission wrestling and a cage fighting record of 8-1. Upon several years of training and coaching fighters for the UFC, it had been Anthony's dream to offer the same wrestling experience he received as a child. Des Moines MMA Academy is now so proudly well recognized for its youth wrestling programs, it is currently ranked 3rd in grade school states for wrestling. Mr. Porcelliâ€™s MMA studies have continued for the past 11 years with extra dedication to wrestling, boxing and muay thai kickboxing which has been offered for the past 8 years to his stable of cage fighters at DMMMA training facility.
