Details:	Fort Myers Schools of Aikido was founded in 1987 by Clif Williams. Sensei Cliff Williams started his martial arts career in 1958 in Kodokon Karate under Sensei Russell Kozuki 5th Dan and Sensei Victor Harold 4th Dan received Shodan. In 1961 Sensei Cliff Williams began training in Hapkido under Joon M. Jee and Ji Han Jai, was promoted to the rank of 3rd Dan. In 1969 Clif Williams Jr., joined the U.S. Marines during Vietnam era, he then later returned state side to teach hand to hand for combat in Vietnam. Since the early 70s Sensei Williams has trained in directly under the following Aikido instructors Edward R. Baker, Shihan (who trained with OSensei, Saotome Sensei and Yoshimitsu Yamada Shihan), Yoshimitsu Yamada Sensei (who trained with OSensei, as an Ushideshi), John La Monta, Mitsuge Saotome Shihan (who trained with OSensei, as an Ushideshi), Terry Dobson Shihan (who trained with OSensei), Matsutani Shihan in PA (who trained with, Yoshimitsu Yamada Sensei, her Uncle). And Henry Kono. , Sensei in Canada (who trained with OSensei, as an Ushideshi). Clif Williams Sensei current heads up the UAAF and holds the rank of 7th Dan. Sensei Clif Williams has many senior students two of them are Sensei Robert Nelson and Sensei James Davis who are not teaching on a daily bases. Sensei Nelson and Sensei Davis haven proven to be very committed Sensei in carrying out the traditions of Fort Myers Schools of Aikido. They believe in a principled approach to martial arts, that includes the development of personal character as well as physical strength. They focus on respect, confidence, righteousness, discipline, and vision has made them among of the most sought after martial arts instructors in Southwest, Florida
