Details:	Norwalk Karate teaches the classical Korean martial art Tang Soo Do. Classes combine traditional philosophies with rigorous training practice. While learning the many way to protect ourselves, we focus on mental principles which are often more practical in keeping ourselves out of harm's way. Norwalk Karate's teachings are based on Christian principles and those traditional martial arts principles which are complementary. While providing world class training, our instructors are kind and patient, embodying the true spirit of martial arts: grace. Our business principles are the same. We pride ourselves on our family atmosphere and hold many social events each year to help foster that special environment. We work hard to create a setting where every student feels comfortable taking chances. Martial arts is not about winning and losing; it is a serious endeavor and knowledge comes with responsibility. Students are forbidden to use it offensively. While we take pride in our hard work and skills, students are taught the value of humility. While Tang Soo Do is not a sport there are ample opportunities to compete. Norwalk Karate is the home of many Champions yet students do not train to win prizes, nor do they compete against each other. We believe everyone should be able to enjoy the benefits of martial arts thus our rates are reasonable, ($100.00 per month); students are not required to sign contracts.
