Details:	Stars United Soccer Club was founded in 2004 to offer players from Western Pennsylvania first-rate coaching and instruction and an opportunity to play at a higher level of youth soccer. Under the direction of then-President Bob MacZura, the Seneca Valley Soccer Association (SVSA) embarked on a program in 2002 to offer additional skills training to the in-house program players from qualified coaches. The SVSA in-house age groups were also split into a Division 1 and Division 2 format so that players would have the opportunity to play with and compete against similarly skilled players. In 2004, SVSA entered a boys select U13 team in the PA West Classic Division as part of the comprehensive plan to maximize player development. As the training of these young players began to show results, plans were set in motion to create an independent sister club, Stars United Soccer Club, to provide the opportunity for players to receive more advanced instruction and compete locally and regionally. Stars United applied to the governing body for soccer in the area, PA West, and was accepted as a "Classic Club" in July of 2006. The mission of Stars United Soccer Club is to help our players improve as soccer players and to help them grow as young people. Our staff will focus on improving each player's technical, tactical, physical and psychosocial abilities by using positive, constructive coaching methods. Our aim is to develop each player's appreciation for values like teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline, and sportsmanship.
