Details:
The North River Soccer Association (NRSA) is a non profit group of volunteers whose goal is to promote and organize recreational and competitive youth soccer in the Chattanooga area. We began in 1990 and are now located in the City of Chattanooga's first soccer complex in the new Dupont Park. The NRSA's goal is to provide an organized program that is fun for the participants, and also provides opportunities to teach all players the skills, fundamentals, teamwork, strategy and sportsmanship of soccer. At the North River Soccer Association recreational soccer means that the emphasis is on participation, learning and fun as opposed to winning. This shows up in several ways. Although we keep score and declare winners, there are no league standings and there is no official league championship. Coaches are required to substitute throughout the game and each player is guaranteed to play in at least 50% of the game. The association will make every effort to balance teams when preparing rosters. Another way we encourage participation is by allowing you, the parent, to volunteer.
