Details:	Mecklenburg Union Futbol Club is a youth soccer club based in Matthews, NC and Union County, NC. In late 2005, the board of directors for both Matthews Soccer Club and Union Soccer Association agreed to merge two competitive soccer programs to create Matthews USA Soccer Club starting in the Fall of 2006. These two programs had fielded competitive soccer teams from Union County, Matthews and southeast Mecklenburg County for over 10 years. In May 2008, the Board of Directors voted to change the name of our club to Mecklenburg Union Futbol Club (MUFC) to have our name reflect better the communities we are serving. Today, Mecklenburg Union Futbol Club has boys and girls teams competing in recreation, challenge and classic soccer. Combined with access to over 20 fields in Matthews, Charlotte, Indian Trail, Lake Park, Monroe and Wingate, as well as coaches from many area universities, high schools and professional teams, Mecklenburg Union Futbol Club is moving towards creating one of the best full-service soccer clubs for the youth in our community.
