Details:	HYSA was organized in 1989. Through the efforts of State Representative Gary Odom and others, 47 acres of unused land was leased from the State to Metro, who leased it to HYSA. The program has grown from 300 players in 1989 to over 2,000 players and participation has increased steadily in recent years. â€œThe purpose of HYSA shall be to develop, promote, advance, and administer the game of soccer among youth and adult players registered with HYSA.â€ HYSA will be Tennesseeâ€™s premier soccer association, providing: Recreational, competitive and educational opportunities for players, coaches and referees; First class facilities; And the financial and organizational strength to support these programs and promote soccer in our community.
