Details:	FC Los Angelesâ€™s origins date back to 1980 with the founding of one of its predecessor organizations, the well-known and popular Real Madrid Soccer Club of West Los Angeles. In 1997, Galaxy Alliance Soccer Club was formed out of the merger of Real Madrid SC and two other local clubs. By the end of 2011, Galaxy Alliance had grown into the largest and most prominent youth-oriented soccer club on the Westside of Los Angeles. In early 2012, the Club began implementing a series of changes designed to elevate the quality of its programs and enhance its image and visibility within the Southern California soccer community. In an effort to incorporate a more â€œinternationalâ€ approach to developing young soccer players, it crafted a philosophy and coaching curriculum inspired by some of the most venerable professional football clubs in the world. Reflecting its desire to create a clear and identifiable club image, a rebranding process culminated with the Club adopting its FC Los Angeles name in June of 2012. FC Los Angelesâ€™s mission is to provide the best coaching and support resources to enable each player to develop to his fullest potential, both as a soccer player and as an individual.
