Details:	Kenyon's San Diego Martial Arts studio was founded by Master Fred Kenyon in 1968. The first Martial Arts studio was on La Jolla Blvd, a combined La Jolla Surf Shop and San Diego Tang Soo Do, later moving into Pacific Beach at the foot of the boardwalk at Thomas St. with judo instructor Al Holtman, then across from the Frosty Shop on the 1400 block of Garnet, next to Schwinn Bicycle shop (where bikes fell off the wall from the hard training next door), and finally to it's current location at 1551 Grand Ave in Pacific Beach a community of San Diego. Master Fred Kenyon was a charter member of the U.S. Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation (founded in 1976, changing to U.S. Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Fed in 1992). The studio, with it's Federation ID of SI-19, is one of the charter schools of the organization based on Soo Bahk Do, the traditional form of Korean Karate. Master Daymon Kenyon, the son of the late Master Fred Kenyon, earned his midnight blue belt(equivalent to black in other martial arts styles) in 1976 at the age of 12. At the age of 18, he became the primary instructor at the San Diego Martial Arts studio. In 1986, he was overall Grand Champion in the Tang Soo Do International Championships held in England. Shortly after his father's passing in 1988, he earned his 4th Degree by successfully completing the grueling eight-day examination (Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa) required by the U.S Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Fed. for this rank. Due to the age requirement of 25 years for the Master Instructor title, he participated again in the Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa in 1989. In 2007, he earned the rank of 7th Dan(degree). Master Daymon Kenyon is the senior member of the Technical Advisory Committee, responsible for setting and maintaining the standardization of this martial art's techniques for all members in the United States. He is also an appointed member of the Board of Directors for the U.S Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Fed. He supported Grandmaster H.C. Hwang by instructing in the first Korean Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa in 2003
