Details:	Two Rivers Aikikai is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing women, men and children with the opportunity for personal growth through the practice of Aikido and Iaido in Portland, Oregon. Aikido is a traditional, Japanese martial art with the ultimate goal of convincing humanity that violence is not an effective means of improving society. Practicing Aikido can help you develop a centered, balanced and sensitive human character. As you browse through our site, please take the time to think of questions you might want to ask us about Aikido and what it may offer you. Feel free to visit us in real life to observe classes and get a personal sense of Aikido, the friendly atmosphere in our dojo, and the vibrant spirit of the students and instructors. Two Rivers Aikikai is affiliated with the Aikido World Headquarters at Hombu Dojo in Japan through the United States Aikido Federation under the direction of Yoshimitsu Yamada Shihan, 8th dan. Two Rivers Aikikai is also a member dojo of Kiyoikaze Iaido Federation under the direction of Claude Berthiaume Shihan, 7th dan in Aikido and 6th dan in Iaido.
