Details:
OMAC, the Oriental Martial Arts College, is a worldwide system of affiliated schools that teach the Moogong Ryu martial arts system. Moogong Ryu (Guardian of the Peace) is an innovative and holistic life skills system based on centuries old traditional Korean martial arts such as Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Gumdo while incorporating the best features of other Asian martial, healing, and philosophical arts that our Grandmasters and Masters have studied for over fifty years. These additional arts include Karate, Kung Fu, Jujitsu, Taichi, and Kimoodo. OMAC's holistic skills focus on personal growth through development of the mind, body, spirit, and emotion of the Moogong Warrior, the OMAC student practitioner. Fundamental to this growth and development are some of the first "Words of Wisdom" that all students are required to learn: innae, geukki, joen gyung, shin-nyum, sarang... patience, discipline, respect, confidence, love. OMAC Central Ohio has 9 branches and clubs throughout Columbus, Reynoldsburg, Westerville, Minerva Park, Worthington, Dublin, Hilliard, and Franklin County to provide you the greatest opportunities to learn martial arts in Central Ohio, close to your home. We offer multiple taekwondo classes each day, each designed for different ages (youth, adult), skill levels (beginner, advanced), and skill focus (sparring, conditioning, forms, self defense), although a student is free to attend any (or all) of these classes. We also offer other disciplines such as Gumdo, Hapkido, and Kimoodo on certain nights of the week.
