Details:	The study of Kenkukai Karate can be Shumon No Gyo, a way of life. At Island Budokan we embrace a way of life that develops the mind, body and spirit. Our students develop self-confidence, courage, compassion and a strong sense of positive versus negative behavior. While studying karate, the student is constantly motivated to reflect upon himself, his attitude and his behavior. Karate is a vehicle to discovering and enhancing our inherent character. We strive to help develop each student to become more physically competent, mentally alert and socially responsible. The ultimate purpose of the Island Budokan Karate Martial Arts Training Academy is to develop individuality in mind and body through the study of traditional techniques and the spirit of the art.
