Detail: Global Martial Arts Academy is different from other schools in the area in a number of ways. We have been teaching in the Carroll County area for over 20 years and offer well over 100 years of cumulative experience! We are the only school in the area with age and belt specific classes with a flexible schedule. We primarily teach the art of Hapkido, which is a multifaceted, self-defense based, effective martial art. It has been described by many in the MMA arena as the most effective traditional martial art. We also incorporate training in Jujitsu, Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai, and others. All Instructors are certified adult Black Belts in HapKiDo, with most of them having earned 2nd, 3rd and 4th Degree black belts! This translates into 6yrs, 9yrs, and 14yrs minimum experience repectfully. Each Instructor has trained from white belt through Black Belt here at our school under the supervision of Master Joe Borucki, 6th Dan. All instructors are at least 18 years old and receive weekly Instructor training. At our school, there are NO kids teaching kids! Global Martial Arts is a member of four different consulting groups - each giving us the latest professional techniques to teach and train our students to the highest level! Our school is backed by the United States Korean Marital Arts Federation (USKMAF) - an internationally recognized organization whose goal is to set higher standards for Korean Martial Arts in the U.S. We have a state of the art modern facility. The training area boasts a fully matted flooring system that optimizes student safety. The spacious lobby has ample seating for family members and guests. There is also plenty of room for viewing class. We also provide FREE WiFi for our guests. Large changing areas are available for our students convenience. The best way to experience what we have to offer is come try a complimentary lesson.
