Because emphasis is placed on personal development and not competition against other students, all practitioners are able to benefit. Courtesy and respect for one's self and others is always expected from students, beginner and advanced. Ironically, those students who begin their training with an open mind and who focus on their own development demonstrate those values without ever having to be told to do so. The Academy prides itself on maintaining an environment conducive for learning, thus giving the student his or her first step towards personal growth in the Martial Arts.
