Detail: The Goshinkan dojo brings Yoshinkan-style Aikido to Newton, Massachusetts in suburban Boston. We are the only school of this style in New England, which emphasizes traditional Aikido movement, functional martial arts techniques and modern Japanese warrior philosophies of peace and harmony through balance and flexibility. We are affiliated with Doshinkan Aikido International. The Doshinkan headquarters school is based in Philadelphia, and lead by Yukio Utada Kancho (7th dan). Utada Kancho named and certified the Goshinkan dojo in 2007. Our instructor, Josh Nathan Sensei, has been a student of Utada Kancho for more than 25 years. The Japanese characters for Goshinkan literally mean “the house of harmonious minds.†In our dojo we strive to create harmonious relationships and interactions through the movements and philosophies of traditional Aikido. We welcome you to join our community.
