Detail: NSA is a family owned and operated martial arts school for the entire family. NSA has served the Libertyville, IL and surrounding Lake County communities since 1997. Our purpose is to empower. We, the staff of Northshore Academy, through serving our students, their families and our community, are committed to providing our best each day. We utilize our skills and programs to help our students develop themselves physically and mentally. We help our students become positive contributors and winners in their endeavors. We teach them self-defense and self confidence that will enable them to avoid negative situations. We will instruct them how to protect themselves and their loved ones and to become more aware of their environment. It is our mission to help those who want to achieve their potential and become all that they can be. NSA is founded on the principles of Bruce Lee’s original art, Jun Fan Gung Fu, which is based on the belief that all martial art systems, though different, contain valuable information that enhances one’s skills and provides a basis of respect for other arts. We believe in the concept “Use all ways, reject noneâ€. Our adult martial arts programs specialize in Jun Fan / Jeet Kune Do, Filipino Kali & Escrima, Indonesian Silat, Muay Thai Boxing, Shooto. Our youth martial arts programs feature Tae Kwon Do, Hapikido and Karate as the core curriculum. The students are also introduced to a variety of other arts such as Filipino Kali, Wrestling, and Bruce Lee’s Jun Fan Gung Fu. NSA’s Little Dragons is a martial arts program specifically designed for children ages 3 to 6. We work on focus, teamwork, control, balance, memory, discipline, fitness and coordination.
