Detail: The IMA philosophy is a goal that all of us strive to live by and cherish. It is a set of values that are learned through trial and error. The IMA Philosophy is not just a set of guidelines, tenets and rules, but something that continues to grow as one continues on their martial arts journey. The true study of martial arts is more than just punches, kicks and focus on training the physical being. Rather, it is the development and growth of one’s inner strength, as well. The journey is not an easy one. The goal is to reach the pinnacle of physical development and inner strength, but when one gets there, the rewards will far outweigh the sacrifices. The IMA mission is more than just a studio with walls filled with students. It is a place where all students can practice martial arts and learn valuable lessons for everyday life. It is more than learning how to fight or protect yourself, but rather a system of instilling a better attitude toward the studio; toward the school; toward teachers and instructors; toward each other and to life. To provide martial arts training that encourage personal growth and development for each individual student at his or her own pace, emphasizing both physical and mental conditioning.
