Detail: Alexander Perez started his martial arts training at the age of 4 in Caracas, Venezuela. He studied under his 1st instructor, Hely Perez, in the art of Choka-Quin-Ryu. He received his Jr. Black belt at the age of 10 before moving to the United States. Upon arrival, Alexander switched over to Tae-Kwon-Do. He continued his training reaching the rank Red belt in 1996 under Grandmaster Dr. Alexander Song’s lineage. During his high school years he trained with various friends in different arts such as Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and MMA training. In October 2001, under Head Instructor Bennie Cornett, he started his journey into Ed Parker’s American Kenpo System. After receiving his 1st Degree Black belt in 2005, under Manny Reyes Sr.’s lineage, he began to train under Senior Professor Ken Herman (7th Degree Black belt). In March 2007, he founded Ultimate Kenpo Warriors. He received his 2nd Degree Black belt in June 2008. He is a 2nd generation student of Senior Grand Master Ed Parker. Throughout his training, he has learned to use several weapons such as bo, sword, sais, kali, knives, and his favorite, the Nunchaku.
