Detail: Millennium Martial Arts was established in Peoria, AZ in 1983 as AZ Fighting Arts Federation, by Tip and Gretta Potter, where is continues to serve the community to this day. We owe them many thanks for the trail they blazed as true pioneers and masters of the martial arts. The name was changed in 2009 to Millennium Martial Arts (MMA) to better reflect our expanding mission of Developing Future Leaders for the 21st Century. While we still teach the Martial Art "Chun Kuk Do" (The Universal Way)... Grand Master Chuck Norris Founder, our mission has expanded! Not only will we continue to teach the best in personal self-defense but also expand as the leading school in teaching personal and character development principles for success at home, school and work. The Native American symbol “the Man in the Maze.†is the logo we choose for our school, as it represents the multitude of choices we face in the course of life. Life can be a difficult journey, with many ups and downs, twists and turns along the way. As the journey continues, we learn lessons, gain knowledge and understanding, until we finally make it to the central goal and complete our life's purpose. This story is very similar to our lives as martial artists. We continually strive to improve our technique and our character throughout our lives inside and outside the dojo. As we travel through the maze of life we face life’s challenges and learn from our experiences and adapt to our new path while continuing toward our goals. When considering martial arts for yourself or a child, longevity and stability are critical factors.
