Detail: Greubel's MMA in Augusta Georgia (GA) offers the best instruction and flexibility of class schedule of ANY martial arts/fitness gym in Augusta, Evans, Martinez, or North Augusta period. Greubel's MMA was created out of necessity, and built with passion. Mark Greubel, has been studying martial arts since he was 9 years old. Throughout his martial arts journey he has studied many different "styles" of martial arts. In order to study all of the different "styles" he had to constantly commute to different schools, dojos, gyms, wrestling mats, etc. to get a "well rounded" martial arts foundation. Mark studied tae kwon do, karate, bojuka, boxing, jiu-jitsu, wrestling, kickboxing, and mma (before it was called mma). This was exhausting, expensive, and most of the time impractical. Frustrated that he couldn't find the time to get the training he wanted and have a normal schedule, he dreamed of a school that would one day open and have everything he needed. He dreamed of a school that would offer the martial arts that were proven to be practical and effective. Along the way Mr. Greubel has encountered many different martial artists and instructors. Most of them were so blinded by their own arrogance that they believed that their art was the "best" art and any mention of blending arts or cross training in different "styles" was just silly and a waste of time. Most of the martial arts schools in Evans, Augusta, Martinez, and North Augusta only offer one specialty martial art. Many of them still only offer 1 or 2 "styles" of martial arts and claim all you need is what they offer. Well, having a really good saw means nothing if you have to change your oil. You need the right tool for the specific job you are trying to handle. Mr. Greubel does not believe that any one art is the best. All "styles" of martial arts have their place, and all "styles" can be used effectively at the right time or given the right situation. It was in college that Mr. Greubel realized his calling to become a martial arts instructor. Little did he know that his passion for the arts would soon drive him to create and open the school himself. Luckily one of Mark's assignments in college was to create a business plan for a make believe business. He decided to do his on a martial arts gym. The research and work he had to do for the assignment gave him the confidence he needed to put his plan into action, and thus the birth of Greubel's MMA. Mr. Greubel knew he wanted to offer the very best instruction to his students in every art that his gym offered. He would do so by creating a "master mind" coaching staff. With the addition of Chris Elms, Zack Day, Lakesha Springle, you have the combined knowledge and martial arts expertise of all of these incredible coaches.
