Detail: Our dojo is located in the beautiful city of Loveland in the foothills of Rocky Mountains. The dojo provides comfortable space for martial art practice within easy reach from several nearby cities such as Fort Collins, Estes Park, and Greeley. We welcome new practitioners of any age, gender and level of fitness. Watch a practice, join us for a free introductory class or contact us in advance with any questions. We would like to see you walk the path of the Art of Peace with us. Most classes focus on open hand training. There are basic weapons and circle practice classes as well. As we are unaffiliated with a larger Aikido organization, we foster an open culture that stimulates an influx of ideas from the variety of Aikido styles and schools that our members come in contact with. Over the years, our dojo has benefited and developed from the input of gifted teachers from other dojos near and far. Along with weekend events, we also host weeknight special classes taught by senior students from neighboring dojos. Their instruction has an ongoing impact on our training. Our own instructors continually seek to enrich regular dojo classes with new learning gleaned from attendance at the classes and events of other dojos. Youth ages 13-16 may attend an adult class if accompanied by their parent or legal guardian who is also a dojo member attending that class. This will be at the discretion of the instructor, based on the need to maintain safety. Constant attention is always needed when full grown adults are throwing and falling. This is particularly true during a well attended regular class, or a special class or seminar with a guest instructor. Youth age 17 and older may attend independently. Anyone under the age of 18 will continue to need their parent or guardian's signature on the release form.
