Detail: Twin Tigers Academy of Self Defense! We offer a martial arts program that combines the traditional arts form Kung Fu systems with the practicality and self defense arts of Shaolin Kempo Karate systems. Our goal is for all of our students is to not only develop them into a well rounded martial artist but have them become courteous and respectful individuals. The Martial art system we teach at Twin Tigers Academy is called Shaolin Kempo and encompasses a mixture of martial arts discipline. The base of our Martial Art system is Northern and Southern Hung Gar, Shaolin Kempo, and Eskrima. However, within the training, every student will learn hand techniques from boxing, footwork, and kicks from Tae Kwon Do, Wrist locks, submission, pressure points, and use of your opponent energy from Aikido,Jujitsu and close hand to hand techniques from Wing Chun. Our academy main specialty is self defense training for all ages 4 and up. As part of the Hung Gar system, we teach students to have the opportunity to practice and learn movements with Martial arts weapons within a safe environment. Students will also have the opportunity to perform their weapon, self defense forms, as well as sparring techniques in local tournaments. For those children and young adults, our martial arts program also emphasizes many important values that help develop them into mentally strong and confident individuals. Besides the benefit of physical training, each child will be challenged with the help of our caring instructors and allow them to develop self confidence that will not only become prevalent in their martial arts training but also translate into their everyday lives, such as school and at home. Another important value taught at this academy is discipline. Students will learn the importance of respect, honor, leadership and integrity through our teachings. Not only do we want your child to develop into a well trained martial artist but also develop into a well mannered person. The most important step to take now is to watch one of our classes and see what our academy and our instructors are really about. I can write and tell you all the benefits of our academy, but only through watching our classes and talking to some of the current students and parents of students can one truly get an idea of what this school is all about.
