Detail: The “Huk Hu†or Black Tiger System was founded by Professor Herbert Luke of Hawaii. Professor Luke introduced Huk Hu Gung Fu to America, from China, through the Hawaiian Islands. Professor Luke, also known as “Sifu†Luke, (as Sifu means “teacher†in Chinese) hand selected two of his exceptional students, Stephen Au and Hart Nishimoto to pass on the Huk Hu style to mainland America. Under the guidance of Grand Master Luke, Stephen Au (Chinese name Hung Loy) opened “The Academy of Gung Fu†in Hayward, California. After many years Master Salvador Aguilera replaced Sifu Au. Master Aguilera, or Master Sal, as he was respectfully referred to, was a Master Instructor for many decades and imparted to his students at Black Tiger Academy and partner school, Hayward Huk Hu Gung Fu Club an incredible wealth of knowledge. Sadly Master Sal passed in January 2007. His students and the art of Gung Fu, are indebted to him for his selfless dedication. The Huk Hu system has extensive history in the martial arts world and is one of the original Gung Fu styles still in existence today. Black Tiger Academy, together with partner school in Hayward, CA is proud to carry on the teachings and traditions of the Huk Hu system.
