Eddie Bravo wanted to show that his new style of Jiu Jitsu worked and he proved it at Abu Dhabi 2003, Eddie succeeded masterfully by defeating long time reigning champion Royler Gracie. Immediately following that victory, Eddie was awarded his black belt by JJ Machado and opened his own school to further the system, it was located at the Bomb Squad Gym and now resides inside of the Legends MMA facility in Hollywood.
