In 1995, he established the Norfolk School of Judo & Jujitsu, Norfolk Virginia. His Dojo reflects the philosophy and training of Kodokan Judo and the Sasori Neko Ryu goshin-Jitsu Silat Association.Sensei Spruiell has been involved in competing, coaching and officiating in Judo and the Martial Arts. He began in 1966 for the All-Marine Corps Regional championships. He was also; Marine Corps champion in 1967 & 1968.
